All Senijari’s songket silk shawls should be kept in a clean, dark and dry area. It is important to make sure the storage unit surface does not adversely affect the Songket textile. Always line the storage surfaces with pre-washed muslin or acid-free paper. A handful of cloves scattered in the storage space is usually helpful in keeping away textile-eating insects from your songket.
